NHS Trust leaves medical data at bus stop

The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust has been found in breach of the Data Protection Act after a CD with scans of 112 patient records from New Cross Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit was found at a bus stop. The CD had neither password protection nor encryption. The Trust will take remedial action to prevent a recurrence.
