VA to develop an XR mental health app for aging veterans

Mynd Immersive, a tech firm specialising in extended reality therapies for senior citizens, is teaming up with the US Department of Veterans Affairs’ VA Immersive to better the psychological well-being of Vietnam veterans. The three-year cooperative deal plans to fuse advanced virtual reality (VR) with first-hand experiences of veterans to create VR journeys especially designed for this demographic. This partnership follows on from positive research showing VR therapy has benefits for seniors.
